Players control a hero as an avatar, with the ability to equip weapons and armours to increase combat power. Players gain combat XP by defeating monsters. One combat level adds one Hit Point to the hero with the base HP of 9, capped at 109 HP.
Combat mechanics Edit
Attack speed indicates the frequency of attack. Zero Attack Speed has 7 second delay between attacks, and one more speed reduces this number by 1. In theory, a 6 speed monster can make 1 attack per second, however the highest speed possbile in game is 5, which is the Bat. There are two weapons with 0 AS in the game, which are cannon and Ancient Staff.
Magical damage is the independent damage from offensive spells that ignore defense, such as Gust and Bubble. Pound is an offensive spell that dealing physical damage, as it extends the cap of Attack Damage in the next hit and still get reduced by defense.
Critical damage is the damage that double the damage source(not the damage dealt), which is double Attack Damage in case of physic attack. Critical Strike Potion gives 20% chance to deal critical damge for 1 minute. It's also possible to deal critical magical damage by having the Spell Scroll 1 for 25% chance per cast.
The hero's base stats is 1-1-3-0. Armours and bonus stats from Achievement perks or orbs will add to the base stats, while weapons will replace their stats to base stats. For example equipping the scythe will override the 3 speed with scythe's 1 speed.
Each battle requires certain energy to consume and time to rest. The higher level area, the more enery required and longer time to wait. Monsters are also stronger than lower areas.
After defeating the monster for the first time, the icon turns green . After 50 kills it turns yellow and after 300 it becomes blue .
|Areas|| Cooldown |
|Avg XP/fight||Avg XP/energy||Avg XP/minute|
Monsters in Diamond Hunt 2 don't have an official name, but rather a code name: Npc1, Npc2... and so on. The community give them severals friendly names however. For example the chicken-like monster is usually called Chicken.
Beside the similar stats to hero, some monsters have special abilities like healing from Healer/Fire Mage.
Shiny Monsters Edit
Shiny Monster is a rare version of each monster that has a 1/300 chance to encounter. The shiny loot bag gives 10 times of normal loots.
Special Monsters, like monsters appear in quests, don't have the shiny version. The tomb monsters in Faradox's Tombs don't drop the regular loot bags, but Tomb keys, and also don't have the shiny version.
- Combat is the only skill having no tools to represent
- The shiny monsters was introduced in July 14, 2017 update
